AFPM Media Group is a nonprofit broadcast network and multimedia production hub dedicated to elevating underrepresented voices through free, culturally reflective programming across television, radio, streaming, and digital platforms.
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, we are more than a media network, we are a movement. We create space for the stories, creators, and communities pushed out by corporate media consolidation and the growing erasure of diversity, equity, and cultural representation in today's broadcasting landscape. Through original programming, creator training, and community-driven content, AFPM Media Group is building the future of inclusive media, one story at a time.
ABOUT US
Built From the Inside Out.
AFPM Media Group was born from a love of media the way it used to be, and a vision for what it can still become.
Our founder, Megan Liana, grew up with a deep appreciation for media at its best. Radio personalities that were apart of your daily routine, from your morning drive to after school doing homework. News that was bipartisan, fact-driven, and built to inform, not inflame. Music and culture programming that served as a genuine lifeline between entertainment and community identity. Independent journalism that still had teeth and told the stories power didn't want told. And television that brought families together on Friday nights around programming that actually meant something.
But that media is disappearing. Local and national networks are now consolidated under a small group of corporate owners, and with that consolidation has come controlled messaging, shrinking newsrooms, the erosion of DEI, and a deepening disconnect between media institutions and the communities they were built to serve.
After graduating from radio broadcasting school, Megan faced a reality many aspiring media professionals know too well. Vocational training and real-world skills weren't enough to open the doors of mainstream media. Rather than abandon the craft, she decided to build something better.
AFPM Media Group is the media company she needed and couldn't find. A place where aspiring broadcasters, journalists, and creators can learn, grow, and perfect their skills without compromising on standards, quality, or cultural integrity.

Launching in 2026, AFPM Media Group begins where community media matters most, with radio broadcasting that speaks directly to the people, and news content distributed across social media and YouTube to meet audiences where they already are.

For too long, the path into professional media has been narrow, gatekept, and inaccessible to the communities with the most powerful stories to tell. AFPM Media Group exists to change that. Through hands-on programs, accessible resources, and community-centered content, we are creating real pathways for aspiring creators who have been overlooked, underfunded, and underestimated.

Creator Training & Incubation
A hands-on, professional development environment where aspiring broadcasters, journalists, podcasters, and digital storytellers build their skills, find their voice, and establish the foundation for a sustainable media career. Includes mentorship, workshops, and access to production resources.
Workforce Development & Media Literacy
Internships, apprenticeships, and professional training sessions in journalism, storytelling, and technical production, alongside community-focused media literacy workshops that equip people to critically understand and navigate today's media landscape.

Empowering BIPOC and Underrepresented Creators
AFPM centers the voices of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, women and femmes of color, and creators from underserved communities, providing the training, tools, and platform access that corporate media has historically denied them.
Workforce Development and Career Pathways
We prepare participants for real careers in broadcasting, journalism, digital media, and content production, without requiring them to compromise their identity, culture, or community to get there.
Access to Studio and Production Resources
Participants gain access to professional equipment, production support, and creative infrastructure that would otherwise be out of reach, with accessible options designed to level a playing field that has never been level.
Civic Engagement and Community Storytelling
We train creators to use media as a tool for advocacy, education, and civic voice, especially in communities where those stories have been systematically silenced or ignored.
